Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1948. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 111 pages. Three stories: The Black Clams, Mr. Flood's Party and the title story, that first appeared in the New Yorker. First edition (first printing). A very good copy with a bit of wear at the spine ends, in an unclipped dust jacket with faded red lettering on spine and several short closed tears at the edges, else very good. Former bookseller's sticker on rear endpaper.
