Houghton Miffling Company: Boston and New York, 1908. Very well preserved 8th printing with a non-personalized inscription by the author on the front free endpaper: I shouldn't wonde a mite but they prospered, an' came back every summer to set in the old pew". Gray cloth with a small illustration mounted on the front cover, lettering and decorative printing in gilt red, and green, top edge gilt, color frontis plate and other color plates, pages decoratively bordered in green, no dustjacket, likely as issued. Very good condition with some very light shelf soil, good hinges, firm text block, very clean pages, no other names or markings.. Inscribed by The Author. Hard Cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
