Macmillan and Co., 1895. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1895. Twenty-Ninth Edition. 508 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Pages are rough cut. Contains fold-out map. Pages are mostly clear, with moderate tanning and foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Stickers stuck to half title page, with a pencil inscription to front free endpaper and page 508. Ex-libris present on front paste-down. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a pronounced forward lean.
