Stuttgart: Deutschen Verlags-Anstalt, 1914. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. Paul Haustien. [4],32,[2],38pp. Full marroon morocco with elaborate gilt design to cover and spine, all edges gilt, gilt floral endpapers, in slipcase. Published in an edition of 300 copies,of which this is No. 203. Very minor wear to boards, spine is chipped at both ends, cracking along joints, boards holding and binding is tight. Slipcase is worn mainly along edges and corners. Text is in German, printed on a heavy card stock with lavishly decorated ornamentation throughout, followed by 38 pages of commentary. Translated from the Persian by Friedrich Rosen, and designed by Paul Haustein.
