G-VG in chipped & rubbed dustwrapper/Dustwrapper. 8vo. colour and b&w illustrations 1st Edition of Peter Wesley-Smith's first book for children (of all ages), illustrated by David Fielding; as well as childrens books Wesley-Smith has written plays, opera libretti, song lyrics, and was for many years prominent in the Hong Kong legal system; Fielding's illustrations in text and full-page, colour and b&w; orange buckram with illustration to front board, orange endpapers; heavy foxing to prelims, lighter to title page, text block tanned, edges of pages lightly tanned throughout, and with scattered foxing, o.w. G-VG; boards rubbed and foxed; dustwrapper edgeworn and rubbed, with creases and short closed tears, minor loss to head and tail of spine.
