Brentanos, January 1899. Hardcover. Used - Acceptable/No Jacket. Hardcover in acceptable condition, no dust jacket. Moderate wear to top boards, top spine. Boards are slightly bent/warped. Pages show light staining to top textblock. Otherwise, the binding is sound (somewhat cocked, but strong) and the book is totally readable. front abd boards show some rubbing. Previous owner's name is written on endpaper. This famous romantic work was thought to have inspired 'The King in Yellow', the gothic masterpiece by Robert W. Chambers. This edition published in 1899.
