A very good example of Gareth Hughes' 1983 book "One Hundred Years of Scarlet". Red boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. Very good clean boards with just a slight fade to the top/bottom edges. In the original publisher's pictorial dust-jacket. The dust-jacket has a couple of very small nicks to the top edges - now closed and neatly repaired to the reverse of the d/j with clear archive tape. The d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Fine. This is Hughes' classic record of the wonderful Scarlets - but with a difference. This book is SIGNED on the front free endpaper, not only by the compiler Gareth Hughes himself, but also by George Thomas (Viscount Tonypandy) and what I assume are 12 former and current Scarlets. I can't decipher all the signatures but they include Phil Bennett, Cliff Morgan, Derek Quinnell, Selwyn Williams, Gareth Thomas, Roger Powell, Gareth Edwards, and many more...14 signatures in all. A rare - possibly unique copy - recording the Golden Age at Stradey. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; Signed by Collection of Signatures .
