About This Item

The First UK printing published by Michael Joseph, London in 1970. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. A hint of pushing at the spine tips and the slightest of toning to the text-block. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition. A hint of creasing to the edges and spine. The slightest of toning to the spine and fearless than usually encountered. The Graham Humphreys wrapper artwork looks very striking in the removal Brodart archival cover. The rare first title in the vet series by James Herriot and the inspiration for the popular BBC series featuring Christopher Timothy and Robert Hardy. Scarce in such condition. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
