Londini [London]: Guilelmus Pickering, 1824. 48mo. (85 x 50 mm), pp. 192 + engraved frontispiece (dated 1828), bound without the engraved title-page referred to by Keynes. Slight yellowing, last verso (dated 1826) minimally browned. Contemporary crushed brown morocco, marbled endpapers, raised bands, spine gilt-lettered, inner edges gilt, head of spine and corners a trifle rubbed. Inscription 'B. Pollock from F.M.P. Sept. 1892' to fly. The second edition of Horace's 'Works' from Pickering's 'Diamond Classics' series, dedicated to George John, 2nd Earl Spencer (1758-1834), renowned bibliophile, and exquisitely printed in diamond type by C. Corrall. Keynes, p.73.
