Basel: Heirs of Johann Froben, 1528. Book measures 32.5x21.5.cm. [20],692,[22],pp. Bound in calf. Rebacked retaining period or early blind stamped calf over wooden boards, remains of metal clasps. Binding in very good clean firm condition. Internally, modern free endpapers, title with woodcut printer's device recto and contents within woodcut pillars verso, woodcut head-pieces and fine criblé historiated initials. Lacking final f. with woodcut printer's device otherwise blank. Title with repair at head of inner gutter and neatly mounted on stub, BB3&4 small hole in lower margin, marginal water-staining, heavier at end, a few small worm holes, trace to inner gutter and lower margins, occasional spotting or light staining, lightly browned, ornately blind-stamped contemporary. A very nice clean copy. F. Full Calf. Very Good Plus. Folio.

We are a long established company dealing in second-hand, out of print and antiquarian books on all subjects. We are based in Hertfordshire, just 2 miles north of Junction 25 of the M25. We are members of the PBFA and exhibit at a large number of their fairs across the UK.
