Description:
London: Hodder and Stoughton Limited, [1938]., 1938. First edition. First edition. Pseudonym of Henry Taprell Dorling. Near fine, tight copy in dust jacket, with moderate foxing to the unprinted side. When Commander Blakeley takes leave and goes home with secret documents obtained from the Admiralty, he had no idea the trouble his actions would cause. It seems that the disposition of the British fleet in the event of war is of interest to other countries .... and those countries are prepared to pay handsomely for the information.
