About This Item

Princeton, NJ: Engineering Anomalies Research Laboratory, Princeton University, 1988. Paperback large quarto, good plus condition, card cover (with peephole), typewritten text (one side of page only), figures (graphs), tables, single full-page black & white text-photo, front cover little torn (transparent archival tape repairs), edges & covers foxed, some edgewear. 48 pp. A technical report from PEAR (Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Lab). Experiments with a Random Mechanical Cascade (RMC) apparatus yielded anomalous results correlated with pre-stated intentions of human operators. The 25 operators attempted to shift the baseline distributions to the right or left, relative to a concurrent control baseline distribution. Six operators achieved shifts either to the right or left (four of them in both both directions). In addition, a few trials included multiple operators, or remote operators. There is a photo of the RMC apparatus. Includes two appendices of data tables. (A stated supplement containing a more complete data analysis, is listed as a separate record.).
