Wraps. 65 pp. Edited by Cid Corman, this journal features a lengthy essay on metaphor in the work of Wallace Stevens, and includes a new poem, "Long and Sluggish Lines," by Stevens. Fifth issue of this noted journal, as Clay and Phillips note, " The possibilities for writing explored and enacted in the pages of Origin exerted considerable influence in the postwar literary scene." (Clay and Phillips p. 113). In GOOD+ condition with moderate toning to the covers. Minor soiling and edgewear. Interior clean and solid.
