About This Item
(Photographer Unknown). Single Photograph. Vg/No Jacket. 11 X 14 Inches. HMCS Antigonish was a River-class frigate that was built by Yarrows Shipbuilding, Esquimalt, British Columbia, and served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1944 to 1966. Although decommissioned in 1946 she was recommissioned in 1957-1966 and reclassified as a Prestonian-class frigate and became a member of the Fourth Canadian Escort Squadron and acted as a training vessel until 1966 and sold for scrap in 1968. Great photo here is likely from the early 1960's, suitable for framing with pinholes in the corners and some light blemishes. Other Canadian Navy ships photos available from this bookseller. Inquiries welcome.
