Although he was also a renowned orchestral composer, Rósza is perhaps best remembered for his prolific work in film scores. He received 17 Academy Award nominations over the course of his lengthy career, winning three for "Spellbound" (1945), "A Double Life" (1947), and "Ben-Hur" (1959).
