About This Item
New York: no publisher, n.d. [1889-1890]. Measuring approximately 14 x 22’, on cardboard; mounted in the center is a large, original photograph of an aggressive looking bull dog, this photo measuring about 10 x 11 1/4”. Above it in black “BULL DOG CLUB” and in red just below “Second Annual Show.” Underneath the photo in red “Logerot Garden, 2 West 18th Street/ Admission 50 cts. Open from 10 A.M. to 10:30 P.M.” and below that in black “March 23rd & 24th.” The upper right-hand corner is chipped, far from affecting any printed portion of the poster; other than minor scratches and spots, a very good, highly presentable example, preserved in a metal frame. It ought to go without saying, but it will be said anyway, that this is clearly an exceptionally rare poster.
