About This Item

London: Faber & Faber. Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket. 1994. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. FIRST EDITION, FIRST Impression with the correct Printer's Key - 2 4 6 8 10 9 7 5 3 1. Very Good black/grey boards with pale lemon titling to the spine. In the original publisher's Very Good pictorial dustjacket, Very slight rubbing to the bottom edge of the d/j spine. The dustjacket is not price-clipped. The dustjacket is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover. FLAT SIGNED by the AUTHOR to the TITLE page in black ink, with no dedication. The paper/page edges have the usual acid toning due to the paper quality, tanning the edges over time, and the pages are UNIFORMLY more 'cream' than white, but the page edges are more deeply tanned. The endpapers are white & clean. Overall a VERY GOOD+ copy, with no other inscriptions or other marks, the main reason for downgrading the book is the tanning to the paper. " The Peverell Press, a two-hundred-year-old publishing firm housed in a dramatic mock-Venetian palace on the Thames, is certainly ripe for change... When the managing director's body is discovered bizarrely desecrated, there is no shortage of suspects and Adam Dalgliesh and his team are confronted with a puzzle of extraordinary complexity and a murderer who is prepared to strike again..." . If the Seller's images are not shown, Images are available on Request. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall .
