Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~SP21~ Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer (1902 - 1975) was a Roman Catholic priest from Spain who founded Opus Dei, an organization of laypeople and priests dedicated to the teaching that everyone is called to holiness and that ordinary life is a path to sanctity. He was canonized in 2002 by Pope John Paul II, who declared Saint Josemaria should be 'counted among the great witnesses of Christianity.' After attending Harvard, author Dennis M. Helming (1938 - 2014) moved to Rome, where he obtained a Doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas. While in Rome he spent time with St. Josemaria Escriva, and in 1986 he he published this biography, Footprints in the Snow, in English. Since then, it has been translated into many other languages, including this 1990 Italian translation.
