Sturdy book, red cloth spine, yellow boards, bright gilt lettering on spine, gold color inside covers and adjacent end papers, 223 pages plus epilogue. DJ creased inside flaps. DJ beneath mylar, glossy white background lightly browned overall, a color-illustration of woman and mirror on front, praise on back from J.G. Ballard, Bernard Levin in Sunday Times. DJ has tiny tear at top front edge, tiny tear and nick at spine bottom edge, 1/4" tear with wrinkles at top back edge, microtear at bottom back edge, very tiny tear at bottom back tip. Good DJ/Fine book.
Synopsis
Other People is a novel by British writer Martin Amis, published in 1981. Mary, an amnesiac young woman, wakes and tries to piece together her life while using a new identity. The book starts as a comedy, moving on to be a thriller and then a horror story.
