About This Item
New York: Walker & Company, 1971. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First US hardcover edition first printing 1971, was previously issued in paperback. A clean square copy. The boards are clean and sharp. The spine has bumping to ends, with bright gilt titling. The text block edges have light toning, the printers stain top edge is bold and unmarked. The pages are crisp and clean, no creasing, spots, or tears. Feels very well bound and lightly read. Book in fine condition. The jacket has staple holes above the "OT" in the titles. There is minor rubbing to the edges and corners. The spine is sunned, with a 7mm scratch, and there is rubbing and creasing to the head and foot. The jacket panels have bold colouring. Jacket grades very good. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A solid copy of this Laumer title, a story of human subjugation under powerful alien overlords, and the inevitable rebellion. An uncommon title in the UK for a SF collection.
