About This Item
Detroit: F.B. Dickerson & Co, 1884. Octavo. 62 leaves profusely illustrated with examples, engravings, and items that were eye-catching on an important book of etiquette. It clearly states it was for those in the "most refined society" while those in that social group did not need it but those who came into contact with it needed to know how to address others as well as to avoid social faux pas mistakes. A very clean copy with the list of subscribers at the end. Bound in two cloth examples: blue cloth lettered and decorated in gilt and with inside covers in brown cloth lettered and decorated in gilt, floral endpapers, staining to rear board and spine.
