About This Item

London England: Collins. Very Good/Good. 1966. First Edition. Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall Octavo Hardcover Hardcover. First Edition. Our London Office. Previous owners name to inside cover. Slight foxing to end inside covers and edge. Shelf wear to edge of D/J. This long awaited addition to the Crowther Novels shifts the focus of this great family story from the West Riding to London. It is 1957 and Charles, the youngest of old Simjoss Crowther's three sons, has come to London to start up his own business. Exasperated by the supine, steady-as-we-go management of the family firm, he has resigned from the board and has joined forces with a brilliant young research chemist to set up the cosmetics firm of Crowther-Willis. He still, however, retains a connextion with Simeon Crowther and Sons, partly because he has kept his shares and partly because needing premises for his struggling new business, he has rented them in the family's London office. 383 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. Academic and Scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Educational Reference Literature.) .
