About This Item

London: Salvation Army Publishing Department. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1913. Second Edition. Hardcover. Text is clean. Pages tanning lightly. Previous owner name and gift inscription on front inside cover. Maroon decorated cloth with gilt lettering. Cover shows light normal shelfwear, light bumping at spine and minimal rubbing at lower corners. Top text edge stamped with a church address. ; From the Preface: The present volume contains some of the papers bearing on the Birth and Death and Work of our Lord Jesus Christ which I have contributed from time to time to Salvation Army periodicals. I hope that in this form they may continue the service of souls which I am assured they began to render when, one by one, they were first published. Much in them has, I do not doubt, come to me directly or indirectly by inspiration or suggestion of other writers and speakers, and I desire therefore to acknowledge my indebtedness to the living, both inside and outside our borders, as well as the the holy dead. Moyles (Bibliography of Salvation Army Literature in the English Language 1865-1987) N67; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 166 pages .
