Board edges minimally rubbed and faded, leaves very lightly age toned. In the color illustrated dust jacket, price clipped: edges chipped, closed tears to the front panel with old tape repairs verso. Collected entertaining New Yorker "Talk of the Town" pieces originally published in the magazine without bylines, with the addition of 240 humorous illustrations and ten pictorial maps. A lively, humorous take on the US military's worldwide forays during "the Big One." The illustrations by Carl Rose are excellent. Dust jacket preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
