About This Item
New York: Coward McCann, Inc, 1938. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Octavo, 128 pages. In Very Good minus condition with a Good dust jacket. Spine blue and tan with tan lettering. Dust jacket protected in mylar covering, with price cut. Moderate shelf wear. Age-toning and severe chipping to dust jacket, with three small open tears to spine. Non-archival tape applied to inside of jacket at spine and front flap. Two spots of soiling on front cover. Some age-toning to rear board. Top edge of textblock dyed blue, though faded. Remnants of removed bookplate on front pastedown. Interior pages clean. Shelved in Case 0. The first state of the jacket had no mention of the Pulitzer Prize.
