London, UK: George Newnes. Hardcover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Undated. Volume 1: 384pp, Volume 2: 396pp, numerous colour and black and white photographic plates, other illustrations and maps. Red cloth-covered boards, blind-embossed design on front, gilt titles on front and spine. 4to. A large and very heavy set which will require an additional charge for oversea delivery. Sun-faded spines, small black mark towards heel, rubbed spine ends, cloth fraying, some water staining to front boards. Text block edges tanning, text block dropped, volumes quite loose. Volume 1 front free endpaper has remnants of items previously tipped-in. Volume II front endpapers tanning and soiled and some general page tanning.
