London (36, Essex Street): Methuen & Co, 1944. Second Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. viii, 188pp, with 96 illustrations. In olive cloth-covered boards with blue titles to spine (boards strong, square and clean, just a little rounded at spine tips). Endpapers a little toned, else internally neat, clean and bright. Firmly bound. In its original printed paper dust jacket (lightly chapped along upper edge, sunned over spine, generally worn). A general introduction to the study of insects aimed at those with a general interest and students undertaking preliminary classes for courses in zoology and agriculture.
