Chicago: Peoples Book Club, 1948. Hardcover. Very Good/good -. 246 p.; 21 cm. Green cloth with gilt spine title on dark green. Illustrated dust jacket. Illustrated endpapers. A woman raised in Europe inherits the family paper mill in a New Hampshire valley and returns to sort things out. Book is in Very Good Condition: slightly cocked; corners lightly rubbed; clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good- Condition: spine is slightly sunned; edges are chipped; loss at ends of spine and lower edge of front section; small holes; front section is lightly soiled.
