New York, NY: Haper & Row, 1965. Book. Illus. by Zagorski, Stanislav. Very Good. Quarter Cloth. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. New York, NY, Harper & Row, 1965. First edition. 8vo. Black quarter cloth over light green boards decorated with gray and yellow stripes, with bright yellow lettering embossed on spine, textured gray endpapers, illustrated throughout by Stanislav Zagorski, 190 pp. New York is a city of over-reachers and und under-reachers, and here an off-beat collection of both are depicted with clarity and humanity. They are a band of thirty intelligent men and woman who will flee the city when a nuclear bomb is dropped in June of 1961, to Chico, California, a site protected from the fallout by mountains and prevailing winds, but the over-reaching and under-reaching continues. Dust jacket slightly wrinkled at top edge, owner name on front endpapers, paragraph circled on page 119, otherwise in fine condition. Very good in a near fine dust jacket, protected by a mylar cover..
