Paperback large wide trade, good plus condition, black & white photos, small stain fore-edge last few pages & inside rear cover, minor edgewear, owner's written initials & date. 72 pp. A brief biography, by Bryn Owen, of Lt. Colonel Arthur Owen Vaughan (pseudonym Owen Roscomyl), Welsh nationalist and adventurer, together with a short history of the Regiment which was his brainchild, and which rendered such distinguished service in the Great War of 1914-1918 (WW1). He was cowboy, gold miner, hunter, soldier, novelist, historian, playwright, and manager of the Welsh National Drama Company. The story of this remarkable Welshman (now largely forgotten), and how he raised, almost single-handed, the Regiment of Welsh Horse Yeomanry at the beginning of WW1.
