About This Item

UK: Oxford University Press, 1986. Bound in the publishers original black cloth with gilt title leterings to front and spine. The 270 pages remain in excellent condition with no marks or inscriptions, as does the binding, being almost new in appearance. Housed in the very colourful dustjacket which bears a wraparound scene of political and royal figures over the centuries, portrayed in hilarious characateur style. The dustjacket retains publishers original printed price of 10.95 UK Pounds on the bottom of the inside flap. Slight creasing to top edge otherwise in very presentable condition with no fading and excellent colour tone. An extremely funny book of political satire written in the best tradition of English wit and humour, indeed no one escapes, from Churchill to Chamberlain and Charles II to Queen Victoria, all are quoted within ! An attractie book throughout.. First Edition. Fine/Very Good.
