About This Item
Tallahassee, Florida:: Small Craft Advisory Press,, 2021.. Edition of 30. 5.25 x 7.75" slip case containing four issues of Oyster Boat. Each issue 5 x 7.5". Each issue numbered. This is the second volume in the Oyster Boat series. Small Craft Advisory Press: "'Oyster Boat' fishes for leftovers, deletions, false starts, and byproducts - the waifing spat. It tugs the peripheral to center focus, harvests from the drafts and trimming of contemporary artists, writers, and thinkers. It is a celebration of the sediment-rich material that feeds creative practice.. The four issues in Oyster Boat Volume 2 are collaborations between the press and Christopher Kardambikis (artist, printmer, host of Paper Cuts and on the faculty at George Mason University), Frankie Flood (artist, metalsmith, jewelry designer and is on the faculty of Appalachian State University), Diamond Forde (a Black poet and the author of Mother Body winner of the 2019 Saturnalia Poetry Prize)., Beth Sheehan (book artist and printmaker), and Tacey M. Atsitty (a Dine? poet and a PhD student at Florida State University). Just as an oyster boat drags the bottom to scrape remnants that have lost their way, attempting to find value in what's left behind, Oyster Boat gathers remnants of past artistic projects and looks for new meaning through a different set of eyes..
