Only defect to note on the book is a note on the author's death and includes his names of children and parents inside back cover. The dust jacket has edge wear and a crease at top edge. Book is INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR to the previous owner who was a well known conservationist in Northwest Arkansas (Anna Mae Searles) with a date of Sept. 8, 1985. Black and white illustrations. Many of the poems are about happenings in the Ozarks. 127 pages..
