Second Edition, Revised and Corrected. XXI Preliminary Pages including "Life of Virgil"; 18 Page Introduction. Main Text has the Latin text at top of pages, with copious Notes arranged in Double Columns beneath (Notes in English Text). Period Brown cloth cover with bright Gilt lettering on spine and blind-embossed Motto and ruled margins on front. Cloth torn down left side of spine and has several closed tears down right side. Small pieces missing from spine ends. 3 inscriptions on endpapers, 1 dated 1869. Notes in tiny writing and little underlinings on several pages.
