At Sea: S.S. Uruguay, 1945. Book. Good. Soft cover. About 8 X 13 inches with fold marks and small edge tears. Printed front and back, a two-page newsletter from the Army troopship S.S. Uruguay on its way to Manilla from San Francisco shortly after World War II ended. About the S.S. Uruguay from Troopships of World War II, by Roland W. Charles (1947): "Operated prior to and during World War II by Moore-McCormack Lines, Inc. The Uruguay was allocated to the Army in late January 1942 for use as a troopship. Her war service was as varied as any other allocated vessel and was surpassed in the number of voyages by very few other ships.".
