Detroit, MI: Packard Motor Car Company, [1937].. Oblong 4to. 10.25 x 7.5 in. [12 pp (unpaginated)]. Colour-illustrated throughout, numerous colour plates, gold metallic ink borders, silhouettes of the models. Colour-illustrated softcovers, w/ line drawing cover art of Packard 12 hood & grille, in white, blue & green, colour-illustrated endpapers (minor shelfwear, slight rubbing), still VG copy. First edition of this uncommon original showroom catalogue for Packard 12 and Packard Super 8 when Packard was still the premier luxury automobiles. The 1938 Super 8 was the larger of the company’s 8 cylinder models, and was the 2nd year of the Sixteenth Series Super 8, who after the Series 12 was discontinued in 1939 was renamed the Super 8 160. The 1938 16th Series 12 featured a 128 in. wheelbase, with heavier design fenders, the column shift was an option, and the shape would continued to be used for the 1939 17th Series.
