About This Item

Thames and Hudson, London, in association with The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas., 1995. First edition. Quarto. 216 pages. Copiously illustrated in colour and in black-and-white.Presentation copy, inscribed in a shaky hand by the artist on the half-title: "For Susan from Howard." Presentation copies from Hodgkin are very rare. Occasionally he signed books with his full name but more often with "H.H." Bearing this in mind it is tempting to speculate on the identity of "Susan". Fine in fine dustwrapper.
