1st edition, 1921, hardback in dark blue cloth board covers with gilt decor, 721 pages + supplementary plates; profusely illustrated throughout with b&w photographs, drawings and fold-out plans, tables etc,; colour plates with tissue guards | this is a sound, square copy free of name, notes etc; it appears little read | flaws are present as follows: light foxing to text blocks, map of Crete (mainly visible on reverse of map) and to the reverse of plate 4; minor damage at edge of lower margin up to page xx (front endpapers and contents pages); tea splashes pp 154 - 155; linen tape reinforcement applied at gutter pxvi and small tape repair to Crete map ; with the exception of the tea splashes, which are irksome but fortunately confined to only two pages (please see images), flaws are minor and barely noticeable in normal use; in summary, an above average copy of this historic title | professional booksellers based in the UK | we package with great care and usually dispatch within 24hrs, always within two working days | please request scans or further information on any of our listings, which are all in stock and ready to be dispatched .
