Signed by the Author on half-title page. Hardbound with dust jacket. Green boards lightly soiled with some mottling, else in very good condition. Page edges soiled. Internally clean, free of previous owners marks or signatures but both front and rear inside boards are discolored. The binding is tight with hinges intact. The dust jacket is lightly soiled and shelfworn with light wear along edges, including a couple small tears. *"This is the story of what happened before 1900 in Palisades, a small hamlet on the Hudson River, at the first real break in the great cliff of the Palisades north of Weehawken. Snedens Landing, the part toward the river, which was owned by the Sneden family for a hundred years, was well known as the western end of the famous Dobbs Ferry, long before Palisades was Palisades."...dj
