About This Item

Paperback / softback. New. This work examines how relations between Panama and the United States have always pivoted on the issue of transportation across the country's narrow isthmus and delves into the future of those relations now that Panama controls the canal.

Reviews

On Nov 10 2007, Kcr66 said:
I was born and raised in the Panama Canal Zone, and lived there for 22 years so I have some credibility with regard to life there. The brief information about life in the Canal Zone in this book is untrue. I found it to be slanted, negative and misleading. In general, the book has an overwhelmingly anti-Canal Zonian tone. It's obvious that the author has a personal agenda.
