About This Item
New York: Harper and Row, 1971. First edition. Cloth. Good/very good. Cloth 8vo in dustwrapper. A 99 pp poetry collection. This copy once belonged to fellow poet Ted Berrigan who has signed his name and dated the book 1971. At some point he later INSCRIBED this book to poet Tom Carey . Underneath the inscription to Carey Berrigan has added the following handwritten note: N.B. Al Kaplan was one of the first of the younger people to recognize that Frank O'Hara & Ashbery et al were the new "it" Frank liked his poems + actually, he's quite good. Still is, for that matter, but doesn't have the pushiness of me, Ron, Joe etc, so is neglected". Condition of the book is only fair with heavy staining to the pale blue cloth covers. The dustwrapper is unclipped and in very good condition. A unique copy tying several members of the New York School generations of poets together all in one place.
