Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. vi, 428pp, VIII, illustrated with black and white pictures, charts, diagrams etc (126 figures). In orange cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. 8vo. A large and heavy volume which may incur an additional charge for overseas delivery. Boards just a little rubbed and rounded at spine ends. Stamp of Wiggins Teape Ltd on front endpapers, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket (of paper made on the paper-making machine in the Paper Science Section at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST)), gently bumped on edges with minor loss at corners. The bible of paper-making in the late 20th century, this volume contains chapters on, for instance, Historical Introduction - Handmade Paper; the Nature and Uses of Paper and Board; Pulping Methods - Wood; Stock Preparation; Boardmaking; Finishing; Mill Location and Services etc.
