Diplomatic corrrespondence mostly directed to Secretary of State Seward from Foreign Service officers at the various legations and embassies, 470 pages, mostly Spain Austria, Prussian, Egypt, etc. some interesting documents questioning foreign coutries support of the Confederacy. The page edges have browned over the years, has library markings, but no internal writing. The binding is a bit damaged but usable. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
