Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1862. First Edition. Leather bound. Fair. Octavo. [3], xxii, pages 443-910, [4]. Dark Moroccan leather binding with gilt borders and gilt decorations on the covers. Gilt bands, letter title, and decorations on the spine. Brown end papers. All edges gilt. Some rubbing to the spine bands, corners, and joints. Small chip to the leather base of spine. The front joint is cracked with spine split upper edge. The front hinge is cracked and the cover is loose but attached. Rear joint rubbed. Interior is very clean. Contents include correspondence between William Seward and other foreign dignitaries. Many references concerning the American Civil War.
