Raleigh: Edwards & Broughton Printing Company, 1920. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 464 pages. Hardcover bound in burgundy cloth with the state seal in gilt on the front covers. Binding is rubbed, has damping and spotting. There is some light scuffing also. The corners are bumped. The edges of the text block are foxed. The endpapers are foxed and the lower edges are damped. The rear hinge has a few holes in the gutter paper. Text is toned, has occasional foxing, damping. Volume III only, covering the years 1859-1865.
