The First UK printings published by Duckworth, London between 1924-1928. A complete set of the author's celebrated Parade's End tetralogy. The last three titles with their scarce wrappers. Vol 1. (Published 1924). The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. Some pushing at the spine ends. Some fading and toning to the spine. Light toning and spotting to the text-block with a little spotting to the prelims and end-papers. No wrapper. Vol 2. (Published 1925). The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Light pushing at the spine ends. A hint of toning and spotting to the text-block with a little offsetting to the blank end-papers. The WRAPPER is in exceptionally near Fine condition with just a hint of edge wear at the spine ends and a little toning to the spine. Vol 3. (Published 1926). The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Light pushing at the spine ends. A hint of toning and spotting to the text-block with a little offsetting to the blank end-papers. The WRAPPER is in Very Good++ or better condition with a little edge wear at the spine ends, corners and a little toning to the spine. A small closed tear to the upper rear edge. A few nicks and some light age related markings. Vol 4. (Published 1928). The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Very sight pushing at the spine ends. A hint of toning to the text-block with a little offsetting to the blank end-papers. Small bookseller sticker to the lower rear pastedown. The WRAPPER is in exceptionally near Fine condition with a hint of edge wear and a hint of toning to the spine. All books are free of inscriptions. All wrappers are protected in removable Brodart archival covers. Ford's acclaimed WW1 series of novels concerning the character Christopher Tietjens, which was successfully adapted for the TV in 2012, with a screenplay by Tom Stoppard and starred Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role.
