London, J. Beecroft, W. Strahan, Rivington &c &c... 1770 7th edition. Two Volumes. Hardback. Size approx 8.5 x 5.5 inches. In full speckled calf leather fine bindings. With raised and gilt banding to spines, and gilt numbering. In very good condition. Handling marks to boards, some bumps and rubbing to corners, ends of spines rubbed with nicks and chip to top end of vol.1. Lacks spine labels. Private library numbers to corner of front endpapers, a couple of wax spots/blobs to endpaper in vol2. One or two minor handling marks else pages all very clean and bright throughout. One pulled gathering in vol.1 p180-8. Else bindings tight and sound. 2 vols: 510 & 463pp + Indices in Vol.2. Illustrated with 12 full-page B&W engraved plates, plus a B&W frontis plate of the author.
