First Edition in English. 13 5/8" x 9 3/4". 184 pages, 72 superb full colour reproductions of original lithographs from the Josef Voggenauer collection of turn of the (nineteenth) century French posters; illustrations mainly full page, with three folding plates, all tipped-in. Opposite each illustration is a detailed description - artist, title, date, colours, size in centimeters, signature details and printer. Twenty-nine artists are represented, including Alfons Maria Mucha and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Hb, in original cloth, faded at upper and lower edge, rubbed at corners and at upper and lower corners of spine, no dw; small crease to lower corners , not affecting plates.
