A very strong Very Good. Some rubbing to the covers; small-scale edge wear; tissue guard for the frontispiece is foxed (no foxing elsewhere) early owner's inscription at verso of first free endpaper. See all scans. Not fully fiction, nor satire, this trio of Thackeray titles can be seen as travelogues with commentary - though the second title, The Irish Sketch Book, is regarded as anti-Catholic in nature. Scare in this condition. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box - not a bag. L200
