Slightly smaller, sturdy book, dark rose cloth, darker pattern design at front left, light scratch at bottom front, dark rose and yellow lettering very fine on spine, peach color inside covers and adjacent end papers. On first front end paper in black felt-tip pen: "Jan. 9, 1972. For Charlotte--Who has given me solace and much musical pleasure during the writing of this book--Fondly, John Gruen." DJ glossy lavender beneath mylar with group photo of writers, artists and musicians on front, spine and back, praise on back from John Canady. DJ has light wear to bottom front tip, two micronicks at spine top edge, light crease at top back right. Near Fine DJ/Very Fine book.
